Born in Great Falls Montana, Kat Houseman’s love for western and wildlife art blossomed in the heart of Charlie Russell country. Her creativity and desire to learn drew her to Bozeman, the “valley of flowers”, attending Montana State University and earning a Bachelors in Fine Art with a focus in Painting. An established artist for over a decade, Kat now paints in the sea salt-filled air of Bellingham, Washington. Working primarily in oil and specializing in wildlife and avian portraiture, Kat pulls from her regular travels and experiences throughout the Pacific Northwest and Hi-line. Kat’s work has been featured in fine art galleries throughout Montana, Wyoming, and Washington and has received regional news coverage.
