Kids Do Art!

The mission of the Jansen Art Center is to engage the community in the arts, and a large part of that is giving kids opportunities to try a variety of art forms. We host three Kids Do Art! events each year: Spring Break Workshops, Summer Camp, and the Fall Open House.

Spring Break offers 3 days of workshops that coincide with spring break for the Lynden School district. Students can register for 1-2 workshops per day, for a total of 6. These workshops represent the art studios at the Jansen Art Center and generally include a combination of ceramics, dance, music, painting, textiles, jewelry, multi-media art, and literary arts.
April 2nd-4th, 2019

Summer Camp is a week-long art camp held in the summer. Students can take an art sampler class in the morning to try 5 different art classes and they can register for an intensive class for the afternoon – so they can learn more about one art form over the course of the week.
June 24th-28th, 2019

Fall Open House is an event at the J to give the families in the community an opportunity to DO ART! in each of our studios.
