KIDS DO ART!
Kids Do Art!
The mission of the Jansen Art Center is to engage the community in the arts, and a large part of that is giving kids opportunities to try a variety of art forms. We host three Kids Do Art! events each year: Spring Break Camp, Summer Camp, and the Fall Open House.
Spring Break offers 3 days of workshops that coincide with spring break for the Lynden School district. Students can register for 1-2 workshops per day, for a total of 6. These workshops represent the art studios at the Jansen Art Center and generally include a combination of ceramics, dance, music, painting, textiles, jewelry, multi-media art, and literary arts.
Summer Camp is a week-long art camp held in the summer. Students can take an art sampler class in the morning to try 5 different art classes and they can register for an intensive class for the afternoon – so they can learn more about one art form over the course of the week.
Fall Open House is an event at the J to give the families in the community an opportunity to DO ART! in each of our studios.
Dates for our next Kids Do Art! event will be available soon. Until then, check out these classes for kids available at the Jansen Art Center now!
