Donna Hunter has tried her hand at every textile medium imaginable but fell in love with felt making when she took a class in 1995. She has been teaching felt making since then – more frequently now in her retirement from Audiology. She also attends felting classes given by internationally known felters at weavers and spinners conferences.

Donna teaches various felting classes at the J. Some of these include Felted Boot Slippers, Felted Bowls, and Felted Nuno Scarf.

Judith moved to Bellingham, WA in 1972 and started her career in metal jewelry design and fabrication at the legendary Alaska Silver & Ivory Company. Her love of this medium motivated her to pursue a degree in Art Education with an emphasis in metal work at the University of Montana, Missoula. Further studies in this field followed in Eugene, OR where she worked as assistant production supervisor for Jody Coyote. She decided to return to Bellingham in 1989 and start her own jewelry company, “Pouncing Rain Creations.” Currently, it is a non-profit organization called Bellingham Metal Arts Guild.

Judith teaches metal work at the J, was a primary developer of the jewelry studio, and serves as the studio lead.  Some of her classes include Kiln Enameling, Cloisonne Torch Enameling, How to Solder, Sterling Silver Ring Workshop, Beginning Jewelry and Spinner Ring Workshop.
