Meg Kaczyk
“My work expresses energy that runs deeply through us all – fluid experiences standing as frames of life.”
Meg Kaczyk paints from her Discovery Bay studio on the Olympic Peninsula. Inspired by the natural beauty of the area and a deep desire to protect it, Meg’s current thematic series includes scenes of the Salish Sea, Madrone trees, and still lifes that celebrate the abundance of regional agriculture.
Meg Kaczyk began her creative career as an illustrator and designer in the Midwest. Seeking arts community, she moved west to Portland, and in 2016, to Port Townsend, Washington. Over the years, the precision of graphic design played counterpoint to her painting, which emboldened the loose and fluid style of her work today.
Meg teaches art process classes and workshops at Port Townsend School of the Arts, and exhibits monthly at Northwind Arts Center, Port Townsend. In 2019, she was a Centrum Artist in Residence.
Barbara Mosher
Barbara‘s Art has been called eclectic, evocative and powerful. Energy resonates her canvases and the colors vibrate among the shapes which hint of her work as an automotive designer. She embraces the world, as the world embraces her, and is influenced by culture, its struggles and its beauty.
Recently published in ‘Fashion and Arts Magazine’, Madrid Spain and elected as a finalist for Zaha Hadid’s 1000 Museum in Miami, Florida.
Barbara Welcomes visitors to her studio on Whidbey Island.
Emily Zimmerman
Hi there! My name is Emily and I am a graphic designer and artist (among other things) living in beautiful Bellingham, WA. I grew up here with a father who is a graphic designer and a mother who is a painter, and I quickly learned to love both. Pursuing an education in graphic design and illustration I moved to Vancouver and graduated from Capilano University’s IDEA program. After a number of years in Vancouver, I now find myself back in Bellingham and loving every minute of it. When I am not painting and working with freelance design clients, I am employed part-time as the graphic designer for the Skagit Valley Food Co-op (in Mount Vernon, WA). Out in the real world, you can find me going on dog adventures with my sweet fiancé and our three dogs, getting dirty in the garden, and hiking, running, or climbing in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. My artwork (and much of my design work) comes from my love of nature, colors and contrast, and my desire to inject a little creativity into everyones day. Get in touch if you have an idea! I would love to make it happen!
