Thursdays, May 4 – June 8, 2023
6:30-9:00pm

Are you ready to go beyond the basics with your rigid heddle loom? Join us for a deep dive into more ways to use pick-up sticks and your hands to create texture and pattern, plus some fun exploration of color-and-weave effects. We’re also going to cover the details of project planning, culminating in designing your own project that you will warp in our last class session.

PREREQUISITES
None

MATERIALS TO BRING

  • Rigid Heddle loom already dressed with a 7″” wide x 60″” long warp in a size yarn that is suitable for your heddle. Remember to bring clamps to attach to our tables, or your own stand
  • Yarn – 100 yds more of warp yarn plus small amounts of other yarns to play with colors
  • 2 stick shuttles or a boat shuttle with 2 bobbins
  • 2 pick-up sticks, 10″” – 12″”
  • basic toolkit: small scissors, tape measure, pen/pencil
  • You will purchase yarn near the end of the class for the design you create in class

HEALTH AND SAFETY: Masks are optional.
