Adam Brown

Mandolin Instructor
Adam Brown began playing mandolin as a teenager in New York City and never looked back. He has studied with mandolin greats such as David Grisman, Andy Statman, Mike Compton, and Frank Wakefield and has explored many styles of music. Currently, his emphasis is on songwriting – using the mandolin and mandola in place of the guitar. Adam also spent many years playing and teaching the Trinidadian steel drums and used his knowledge of Caribbean music and rhythms to inform his distinctive style.
