Artist Statement:
I am a self-taught oil painter living half of the year in Birch Bay, WA, and half of the year in Oahu, HI. I enjoy painting in a realistic style so that the canvas scenes evoke emotions that allow my soul to travel.
I focus my attention to detail and vibrant use of light and color to capture nature’s awe-inspiring beauty. My passion for the natural world is evident in every dreamlike work of art I create. I absorb healing energy from nature and transpose it to my paintings.
Painting for me is like dreaming, only on canvas.
My favorite subjects include seascapes, flowers, and landscapes. I have studied multiple techniques around the world, combining everything from traditional painting to 3d sculpting to form my own unique style. My paintings convey a pleasant, calm, joy of life and its precious moments.
They are a window into a special space filled with happiness and harmony.
