Take a journey into the heart of creativity at the Front Street Arts Festival, a one-day event nestled in the picturesque town of Lynden, Washington.

With artist booths lining the street at 4th & Front Street, attendees can explore a kaleidoscope of artistic expression, from paintings to weaving and beyond. Live art demonstrations offer an intimate look at the artist’s creative process. Families can nurture young artistic talents at the kids’ interactive art area, while the piano lounge resonates with live music, filling the air with enchanting melodies. Indulge your taste buds with delicious treats from the local food vendors on site.

The Front Street Arts Festival supports the Jansen Art Center, raises awareness of the arts, and promises a day when creativity flourishes and community connections thrive.

Dry Martini | 1–3 PM

Dry Martini was formed in 2019 after Mike Knutson and J. Michael Newlight met over coffee at the Rustic Café in Fairhaven, and first performed together publicly at the grand opening of its successor, Café Blue. Since then, there have been numerous performances at both private events and public venues.

Jansen Jazz Orchestra | 4–6 PM

Jansen Jazz Orchestra is a group of musicians who share the desire to perform jazz, in the tradition of the great swing bands of the thirties and forties, as well as a wide variety of tunes from traditional jazz to rock, Motown to fusion, blues to bebop. Audiences will hear the classics of jazz as well as the latest original tunes.

FAQ

Where can I park?

There is parking available along Front Street, as well as the public parking lot across from the Jansen Art Center Building. Parking is limited, so plan ahead!

Will there be art demonstrations?

Yes! there will be art demos throughout the day by local artists at their booths and also at the Jansen Art Center Studio booths.

What food trucks will be there?

We will have food from The Mobile Mouth Hole and delicious treats from Drifters Desserts!

Are there kids activities?

Yes! We will have ongoing kids art projects all day from the Textiles, Paint and Ceramics studios! These will be short 15-20 minute projects, and each kid will go home with something special!
