Terhi M. Broersma is a multi-talented musician from Lynden, Washington, who earned a Master’s Degree in Music at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and worked full-time as a cantor-organist before moving to the United States.
She is an exceptionally talented and versatile performer. As a soloist, she performs on organ, piano, bassoon, and accordion. Chamber music has always been close to her heart, either accompanying on piano, organ or cembalo or playing bassoon, her favorite instrument. She has been a member of Wind Ensemble in Finland and is at present a member of Whatcom Symphony Orchestra, Bellingham, WA.
Kathleen Dean teaches guitar and Children Musical Theater at the Jansen Art Center. She is Founder and Artistic Director for The Children’s Musical Theater, Rainbox Radio, CMT’s Summer Stock, The Young Songwriter’s Guild, Speak Up! and Edgewater Publishing.
A talented pianist, guitarist, and vocalist, Kathleen’s greatest joy is to weave stories filled with imagination, integrating her music.

Thursday nights, the J invites you to enjoy free live music in the piano lounge from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The Firehall Cafe at the J offers their full menu of food and beverages until 9:00 PM. Curated by local musician Victor Pruner, the Live Music in the Piano Lounge series is designed to bring a variety of local musicians to engage the community.
