Scrub Hubner

Scrub Hubner (aka: the Human Jukebox) has been playing the guitar and singing since grade school.  Whether it was “Sink the Bismarck” at a Central Grade School assembly or the Beach Boys “409” for the Ferndale PTA, Scrub loved to perform the songs he learned from the 45’s he and his brother bought.  Blessed (cursed?) with an encyclopedic memory for Top 40 rock songs and lyrics from 1955 to 1975, Scrub draws in audiences playing requests that invite singing along.  Cruise on in with some requests from your youth (or, for the younger generation, maybe some from your parents’ teen years), grab a snack and a beverage in the cafe, and let Scrub take you back on a musical trip to those magical years of rock.

Join us at the J every Thursday night for free performances from your favorite local musicians. Enjoy food and beverages from the Firehall Cafe, open until 8:00pm.
