ARTIST STATEMENT
“My life journey is immersed in the culture, history and spiritual energies of ancient indigenous peoples of North and South America, and is extending worldwide through my current projects.
Many of us ask: Who are we? Where did we come from? Why are we here? The answers must lie in the past. Over the last seven years, I have devoted much of my time creating 3D digital and forensic style sculpture reconstruction/interpretations of our mysterious ancestors.”
Utilizing art skills and tools has helped Moore assist alternative researchers around the world with forensic reconstruction, giving the ancients a face to aid in the understanding of physical anomalies.
Through this current body of work, Moore is reconstructing the past, revealing personalities in the flesh that may guide us to a greater understanding of the lost history of North America, and our planet.
Moore’s sculpture reconstruction/interpretations have spawned works that include Bic pen on-site journal sketches. Most every day Moore sits with her art journal sketching and writing. It is always amazing what “unfolds” living on the Pacific Northwest Coast…. Stories and characters from the ancients as they walk by.
These framed sketches are “raw” moments from Moore’s research sketch journals and personal explorations. Each sketch has formed an account, story, and instinctive message to further guide her in repatriating our ancient history.
