Bluegrass music is a genre of American roots music that developed in the early 1900s in the Appalachian region of the United States. A bluegrass jam is an event in which musicians come together to play and sing unrehearsed music with and for each other.

Come spread the joy of bluegrass with us as we play music together. Young or old, beginner or advanced, there is a place for you. At each jam, we will have an “inner circle” of more experienced musicians who feel comfortable taking solos and an “outer circle” for those who are less experienced or not comfortable taking solos.

Typical bluegrass instrumentation consists of banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, upright bass, and dobro.

A list of standard bluegrass tunes and keys will be provided.
