In the beginners hand-building ceramics course, students explore foundational techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab construction. Through hands-on experience, you will create a variety of items including coiled pots, a vase, plates, pinch pots, and a wall hanging. They learn to manipulate clay to create functional and sculptural pieces. Emphasis is placed on understanding clay properties and gaining a basic understanding of glazing. Students also explore their creativity in a supportive environment, fostering a well-rounded understanding of hand-built ceramics.
