7 week Class with Theresa Golden

Thursdays, June 22- August 3, 2023
5:30 – 8:00 pm

Open to beginners and beyond! This class is a guided process through hand-building with textured slabs. Students will explore texture together and learn how to roll slabs with the studio slab roller. Students will learn joining and refining techniques during the construction of slabs into art pieces. We will explore the art of glazing textured surfaces, Students will be guided through the use of the studio extruder and create personalized test tiles to test glaze ideas. Students will be assisted in creating original finished pieces utilizing their hand-built slabs.

CLASS FEES
Members: $229.50
Non-Members: $255.00

MATERIALS FEES
(available for purchase through the Gallery Shop)
$10/bag of clay
$15/tool set

AGES
Adults 16+

PREREQUISITES
Some experience in clay

MATERIALS TO BRING
Bags of clay and tool sets are available for purchase through the J.
A towel and small bucket or container for holding water.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: Masks are optional.
