Expired Intermediate Wheel Throwing
7-week class with Ryan Vaughan

6:00-8:30pm
This class is great for intermediate and advanced potters. Students will be shown how to form intermediate forms, such, as larger bowls, bottles, pitchers and lidded vessels. Efficient techniques in pulling and trimming will be explained. Expect to use 2-5 pounds of clay per vessel. Dive deeper into the glaze process by using washes, wax resist and/or underglazes or even try the spray booth. Students will be encouraged to put several pieces in the reduction gas kiln.

PREREQUISITES
Can confidently center and consistently perform basic throwing techniques with 1 pound of clay and throw basic forms such as the cylinder and bowl.

MATERIALS TO BRING
Pottery throwing tools, bucket, hand towel, and apron. We recommend purchasing a few throwing bats if you don’t want to worry about sharing bats.
