Expired Hand Painting Ready Made Tiles
2-week class with Margaux Mellott
Saturdays, May 11 & 25, 2024
10:00am – 12:30pm
Students will make 4 tiles or coasters by learning techniques for hand painting ready-made tiles. Techniques demonstrated will include image transfer, stencil use and hand painting underglaze, plus best practices. Students are encouraged to bring 4 images to transfer onto tiles or for reference use in creating 2D art on tiles. First class will be painting, second class will be coaster construction, framing/hanging possibilities and discussion of lessons learned and materials sourcing for future endeavors. Tiles provided will be fireable to ^6 and end products will be food safe.
CLASS FEES
Members: $58.50
Non-Members: $65
MATERIALS FEES
$10, additional tiles may be purchased at the first class.

MATERIALS TO BRING
- Up to 4 images for reference/image transfer (laser copy images are best for transfers)
- Favorite paint brushes or sponges to use with underglaze (some will be provided)
- Favorite stencils (some will be provided)
- Rubber stamps (some provided)
- Apron/Clothes that can get dirty
