Learn some basics of Catalan tray making with homegrown willows. Ireland travel November 2012 sparked a re-ignition of this lovely tray weave at Joe Hogans’. Since then, I’ve been mixing size and shape along with twigs and withes of all description. Learn first with classic willow rods to make a round or oval shape, complete the edges and extend the handles.
These make wonderful and useful gifts and look elegant hanging on the wall as well. Complete one, and begin a second.
