Artist Demonstration with Elizabeth Wonnacott during Celebrate 5 Years at the J!

The Fine Arts Studio at the Jansen Art Center invites you to meet artist Elizabeth Wonnacott during the Celebrate 5 Years at the J event on Saturday, August 5. Elizabeth is an artist from Blaine who is currently exhibiting her paintings at The Inn at Lynden as part of the Jansen Art Center’s collaboration with the Inn. Her exhibit Rodeo Dreams will be on display at The Inn at Lynden through September 20. Elizabeth also has work on display at the Jansen Art Center in the 2017 Summer Juried Exhibit. Her three paintings in this exhibit can be seen in the Firehall Cafe. You can join Elizabeth for one or both activities planned for Saturday’s Open Studios:

Artist Demonstration 3:00 PM in the Library

Elizabeth will be demonstrating how to paint with oil paints, using acrylics as a base for your paintings. This is the process she used for her work in Rodeo Dreams, and a technique she will be teaching a class in later this Fall (Register for her class now!).

Artist Exhibit Tour 4:00 PM – leave from the front entrance to the J

Elizabeth will be walking from the Jansen Art Center to The Inn at Lynden to give a tour of her exhibit, Rodeo Dreams. She will be available at the Inn to answer questions about the artwork on display. If you’d like to join in the tour, meet at the front entrance to the J (outside of the Gallery Shop) at 4:00 PM.
