  Dear Local Friend and Supporter, When we started the Jansen Art Center in 2011, the old city hall was closed and unused, and Front Street was full of shuttered businesses. Over that year we transformed the building and in 2012 opened our doors to become the vibrant arts organization we are today. Since that time, it has been our distinct pleasure to watch Front Street and the heart of Lynden return with new vibrancy and life and even be the winner of the America’s Main Streets Contest in 2016. This summer we’re marking 5 Years of being a place for artists to create, teach, share and engage the community in the arts with a celebration and fund-raiser event featuring The Paperboys. Today we are asking you, our local businesses and friends, to support this fundraising event with a donation of $100.00 or more. The money raised from this event will support our programs at the J, including Kids Do Art, our musical Performance Series and most important, our 6 studios where the community engages in the process of creating Textiles, Ceramics, Jewelry, Music, Dance and Fine Art.
