ARTIST STATEMENT
Painting is a medium of thought, it is a medium of the mind. The inner realms of the mind have inspired my work for nearly forty years. Through the act of painting I experience forms of truth, those experiences are held and “recorded” with paint, waiting to be released to viewers.
As an abstract painter, I bring recognition to the intangible experiences of my mind. My recent work, seeks to bring form to experiences of vitality, spirit-resonance and breath-energy that occur by painting while being completely present. For my paintings to be fully realized, they must actually be experienced in person, not seen “virtually” on a screen.
My paintings are a becoming, a recognition, and a formation of experiencing moments in truth.
