Today we take a peek at the 2020 Fall Juried Exhibit!
Juried Exhibitions showcase a variety of artistic talent in our region. Each season, artists are invited to submit up to five original pieces for consideration by a jury comprised of artists, curators, and other arts professionals.
Jackson Faulkner
Through my images, I give the viewer a chance to feel the glow of twilight as it appears over an abandoned barn or experience the silence of a century-old prairie grain elevator waiting for the next harvest. Every image tells a story that needs to be told. The very history of our nation is dissolving before our eyes and If we choose not to honor and remember our past, we will suffer more than the loss of a building or a tractor. We will lose the collective history of who we were and who we are, and our future generations will be poorer because of it.
I capture my portraits across the United States, but my primary focus is the Pacific Northwest where I live. I’m fortunate to be able to find many scenes close to home that allow me to revisit them during seasonal changes which provides an entirely different mood and feeling to emerge in the images. Thank you for your interest in my vision and mission to preserve our history.
