The popular Kids Do Art Summer Camp is fast approaching, and classes are starting to fill up. This week-long art camp is split into two sections. Kids can register for both sections and be at the J from 10:00am until 2:30pm each day, or choose to register for one section and do a half day camp at the J. Each section is $90.
The morning “Art Sampler” runs from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, and introduces kids to 5 different art experiences during the week. Separated by age groups, students will visit a new studio each day, experiencing mosaic painting, ceramics, music, weaving and dance.
From 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm, students can take an “All Out” class that focuses on one subject all week long. For students in the 10-14 age group, the two choices are Mural Painting and Beginning Wheel Throwing. Students in the 6-9 year group can choose a multi-media class called From Oops to Art or a music class called Tchaikovsky Discovers America!
Students staying all day are encouraged to either bring their lunch or sign up for the Firehall Cafe’s Kids Do Lunch Program, offering a sandwich, sides and beverage for all 5 days for only $35.
As always, Jansen Art Center members save 10% on class registrations. Members who register for lunch in advance will receive the discount on lunch as well, saving over $20 per student for the full week.
