The Jansen Art Center is pleased to welcome Bellingham Modern Quilt Guild for a showcase of their work. The exhibit opens on June 3 and will be on display through August 26, 2021.
About Bellingham Modern Quilt Guild
Our members are a diverse group of creatives coming together to advance our craft and engage the art and quilt communities with fresh ideas and a modern aesthetic.
We define modern quilts as quilts that are functional, include bold colors, and are inspired by modern design. Minimalism, asymmetry, expansive negative space, and alternate grid work are often a part of modern quilt compositions, as are improvisational piecing and solid fabrics.
