Ann Celeste Rushing
Painting & Fine Arts Instructor
I worked as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Alaska for 20 years and then as a Public Health Nurse at the Whatcom County Health Department for 10 years. I am a gardener, watercolorist, weaver, quilter and ukulele player (not all at once of course). I started taking art classes at the University of Anchorage in 1999 and have continued taking art classes through community colleges, community art centers and online painting courses. I fell in love with watercolor painting 25 years ago and have been painting with watercolor ever since. Over the last several years I have been painting dog & cat pets for the Whatcom County Humane Society’s annual fund raiser. I love painting flowers and get most of my art subjects from my 2-acre flower garden. I want to pass on the love of watercolor painting to others who are ready to dive into this medium.
