Jansen Jazz Band returns February 22
Under the direction of Steve Herrick, the Jansen Jazz Band performs a new collection of songs in a big band jazz style for each of their concerts. The program for the February performance has a great selection of tunes from pop, swing, rock and jazz standards.
Herrick contributes the continuing success of the band to the veteran players of the group. “These returning players are the behind the curtains, indispensable musicians that keep the group going and growing. Without them, each session would be a from scratch adventure.” Returning is veteran trumpet player Ed DeVaney, who will be featured in a nice arrangement of My Funny Valentine. Bonnie VanderYacht will be featured vocalist on a Michael Buble tune Everything.The February performance will include the following musicians and vocalists:
