Welcome to the Jansen Art Center!
Our mission is to create opportunities for the community to engage in the arts.

Making a Difference

In August of 2012, visionaries, architects, designers and contractors came together to build something unique not just for Lynden, but all of Whatcom County. What was once the City Hall and Fire Hall on Lynden’s Front Street, now stands the Jansen Art Center. With 6 creative art studios, a 110 seat performance hall, 2 floors of exhibit space, a café and gallery shop, the J is a bright, lovely place for all to enjoy.

The J creates opportunities for the community to engage in the arts. Using a quarterly program system, new classes and exhibits are updated every three months. Whether it’s ceramics, dance, fine art & painting, jewelry, music, textiles, exhibits or performances, there is something for everyone at the Jansen Art Center.
