JEWELRY CHALLENGE: Holding Space

The Jewelry Studio at the Jansen Art Center has opened registration for this year’s Jewelry Challenge – Falling Out of the Box: Holding Space. Each year, artists purchase a box of materials – all of the boxes are identical, and the Jewelry Studio volunteers develop a project theme for inspiration for the artists to create something for the Falling Out of the Box exhibit. Material Boxes are $28 this year. Artists are asked to reserve theirs prior to September 1. On September 1, the boxes will be made available to those participating in the challenge, who then have until October 4 to complete and return their entry. On the night of the exhibit opening, there will be an artist reception and those in attendance can vote for their favorite work of art.
