Artist Statement
I am an intuitive oil painter. Guided by an innate connection to nature, I find solace and inspiration in the vibrant colors and intricate details that surround me. With each brushstroke, I aim to capture the essence of the world around me, allowing the canvas to become a portal to realms where emotions flow freely. Through my realistic portrayals, I seek to evoke a sense of wonder and serenity, inviting viewers to embark on a journey of self discovery and introspection. Drawing upon techniques learned from various corners of the globe, I merge traditional methods with my own unique perspective, infusing each piece with a touch of magic and enchantment. Seascapes, flowers, and landscapes serve as my muse, each telling a story of resilience, beauty, and harmony. For me, painting is not merely a creative endeavor—it is a form of meditation, a way to channel the healing energy of nature onto the canvas. It is through this process that I find peace, joy, and a profound connection to the world around me. My hope is that my artwork serves as a beacon of light, offering glimpses into a world where happiness and harmony reign supreme.
Artist Bio
Galina’s journey as an artist is a testament to the power of passion and dedication. With formal education from Europe, she holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. After several years working in Europe, Galina moved to the USA, where she dedicated 22 years to teaching mathematics in the Meridian School District. Upon retiring, Galina embraced her artistic side, allowing her lifelong love of painting to flourish. Her realistic, 3D textured oil paintings capture the vibrant beauty of Hawaiian seascapes, sea turtles (Honu), tropical flowers, and landscapes. This passion has led her to sell her artwork across the country and internationally in Japan. Her work is proudly represented by several art galleries on Oahu, Hawaii. Galina’s artistic journey is fueled by her extensive travels and the beauty of the world around her. She splits her time between Birch Bay, Washington, and Oahu, Hawaii, and makes annual trips to Europe, continuously gathering inspiration for her art. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Galina is the proud mother of two sons and enjoys paddleboarding, cross-country skiing, and playing pickleball. Her work embodies a unique blend of scientific precision and creative expression, bringing a sense of joy and harmony to all who experience it. Thank you for joining Galina on her creative journey, where each painting is a window into a world of beauty and emotion.
