September 7 – November 30, 2017
Opening Reception: Thursday, September 7, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

The Jansen Art Center’s Juried Art Exhibit program features the work of emerging and established artists from around the region. Each quarter, artists of all levels are invited to submit up to five recent works of art for consideration by the jury.

The 2017 Fall Juried Exhibit features the artwork of twenty-nine artists from thirteen cities both within and outside of Washington. This coming exhibit will feature many different art styles, including acrylic, oil, pastel, and watercolor paintings both on canvas and paper, digital art, collages, charcoal art, mixed-media artwork, iron and stone sculptures, photography, jewelry, and ceramic pieces.

The exhibit will be on display at the Jansen Art Center from September 7 through November 30, 2017. The Opening Reception takes place on Thursday, September 7 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, featuring a Live Music in the Piano Lounge performance by artist Anissa, with accompaniment by Erik Snyder. The Opening Reception is free to the public, and a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists to discuss their work.

There are two additional exhibits opening on the same evening: Illusions and other Still Life: Paintings by Rob Gischer and Fibers & Beyond by the Whatcom Weavers Guild.
