7 Week Class with Dan Stockwell

3:00–4:30pm
This course introduces students to creating ceramic forms utilizing the potter’s wheel. A range of techniques: centering, throwing and trimming, bisque firing, and glazing, Classes will consist of demonstrations, hyperlinks, work time, and in-class individual instruction based on individual progress. Understanding of clay as a recyclable material and not every attempt to throw will be successful but persistence will be needed. The first 4 days are focused on throwing and trimming.

MATERIALS TO BRING
Students will buy a bag of clay in the gift shop (Or spilt a bag of clay and the cost with another student).
Please wear closed toes shoes (no bare feet) and clothes you can get dirty.
HEALTH AND SAFETY: Masks are optional.
