7 Week Class with Dan Stockwell
Saturday, July 16 – August 27, 2022
3:00–4:30pm
This course introduces students to creating ceramic forms utilizing the potter’s wheel. A range of techniques: centering, throwing and trimming, bisque firing, and glazing, Classes will consist of demonstrations, hyperlinks, work time, and in-class individual instruction based on individual progress. Understanding of clay as a recyclable material and not every attempt to throw will be successful but persistence will be needed. Saturdays from 3:00-4:30 (July 16, 23, 30, 6, 13, 20, and 27) The first 4 days focused on throwing and trimming, and August 20th focused on glazing bisqueware.
CLASS FEES
Members: $112.50
Non-Members: $125.00
MATERIALS FEES (Paid to the J)
$28 for a bag of clay. Toolsets available for $15 if needed.

MATERIALS TO BRING
Students will buy a bag of clay in the gift shop (Or spilt a bag of clay and the cost with another student).
Please wear closed toes shoes (no bare feet) and clothes you can get dirty.
