This class is for people who have had experience and those who are new to wheel work. Students who are new to the craft will learn the fundamental aspects of clay work; lingo, tools and step by step process that will help students become familiar with the historic practice of making pottery. Students who have took classes before will be aided in learning advanced techniques. Forms with, lids, spouts, handles and the art of trimming clay vessels. All students will learn the techniques to finishing clay works with discussions and demonstrations about firing styles and glazing practices. All are welcome!

PREREQUISITES
Some basic experience with wheel throwing or hand building techniques would be helpful, but not absolutely necessary

MATERIALS TO BRING
Bring your pottery tools if you already have them (you can also purchase a basic tool set in class on the first day), including:
- Tools: Wooden and/or Rubber Ribs
- Needle tool
- Wire Tools
- Bill tool and/or Ribbon Tool
- Clothing to get dirty and an eager mind set!
