2 Weeks

Saturday, September 28 – October 5

11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Instructor: Kelley Dragon

Develop your potential on the rigid heddle loom. We will explore intermediate skills such as clasped weft weaving, weaving with rags, Leno and Spanish lace. The rigid heddle can be used to create dense or light and lacy fabrics; this simple instrument yields fast results. Students need to be familiar with warping a loom (not necessarily the rigid heddle), and understand weaving terms (warp, weft, heddle, shed, etc). This is a skill-building class, not designed to create a finished project. There will be a lunch break.
