Upcoming Watercolor Landscapes: Beyond Beginning

This class is a follow-up to Intro to Watercolor Landscapes and is intended to build upon our skills and techniques with fresh new landscapes to explore. It is suggested but not required to have completed the prerequisite, however, some watercolor experience will do. In this class, students will become proficient at painting various landscapes and seascapes while learning new essential watercolor techniques. Each week students will work from a provided reference photo with the guidance of the instructor. The final class will culminate with painting the essence of a landscape based on the student’s choice of reference photo. By the end of class, students will be able to capture the landscapes they see around them and in photos by pulling out the details, colors, and textures and translating these components into brush strokes using learned techniques.
