Have you always wanted to get a taste of metalsmithing, but it feels a little daunting? Come spend an evening trying out some basic techniques and following the instructor in a simple, step-by-step process. You’ll start by choosing from a selection of pre-cut metal shapes in copper, brass, and nickel silver, and arranging them into a design. You’ll experience the fun of texturing and stamping the shapes and connecting them with hammered rivets. You’ll have the option of darkening the metals to give the pendant a more rustic look or polishing the pendant to a shiny finish.
No experience is needed! The instruction will guide you to make a pendant similar to the one in the photo. (More daring students will have options to personalize the design if they wish.) This is the perfect no-pressure class to see what it feels like to work with metal. Or sign up with a few friends for a creative evening out!
