6 Week Class

Discover the exciting world of alternative firing techniques during this 6-week intensive raku class. This course is designed for the intermediate to advanced student and will cover the following: Building and firing raku kilns, applying and burnishing terra sigillata, horse hair firing, raku glaze techniques and obvara firing. Firings will happen each week during class.
The cost of this course includes 16 hours of free open studio time per week for extra prep time.

MATERIALS:
Bag of Clay: $28.00
Propane Fee: $20.00
Wear appropriate clothing. Shoes, long pants and a long sleeved shirt. No synthetic clothing.
PREREQUISITES NEEDED: Previous experience in clay is necessary.
