The Jansen Art Center is proud to host Promising Futures: Whatcom County High School Student Art. The exhibit opens with an artist reception on Thursday, May 2 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM with live music in the piano lounge with Paul Klein. Established in 1997 at the Whatcom Museum of History and Art, Promising Futures showcases the artwork of students from across the county. The exhibition provides dedicated, aspiring high school artists a chance to display their work in a fine arts gallery.
The High Schools represented include Bellingham, Blaine, Ferndale, Lynden, Lynden Christian, Meridian, Mount Baker, Options, Sehome and Squalicum. The exhibit includes drawings, paintings, ceramics, and digital art.
