The Jansen Art Center is proud to present Mostly Broadway, a concert featuring Tracy Neff and Jerri Mercer on Saturday, September 30 at 7:30 PM.
In the first Firefly Concert of the 2017-2018 season, Mostly Broadway, pianist, Jerri Mercer will be accompanying singer Tracy Neff. Mercer met Neff when she was Mercer’s featured student in the Young People’s Concerts in the 1990’s. The two have remained friends and colleagues ever since. Both have a lifetime of experience in the world of music.
Pianist extraordinaire Jerri Lee Mercer will again join forces with the spectacular voices and personalities of Tracy Neff and husband, Tony Barton. Neff and Mercer performed for Jansen five years ago and are back by popular demand.
Their new show will feature hits from Carousel, Fiddler on the Roof, Music Man, My Fair Lady and Phantom of the Opera, as well as numerous other favorite, winsome songs. Mercer will add a bit of diversion with such piano solos as “Fats” Waller’s Keepin’ Out of Mischief, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee and Gershwin’s Rialto Ripples Rag.
