In the Morning Sampler Camp, each group of kids stays together as a class and visits a different workshop each morning. This is a great way to try a bunch of new things in one week! Open to all kids aged 6-14, the young artists will be divided into groups of similar ages and will stay with their group for the remainder of the week, moving through each of the J’s studios day by day.

Workshops
Mixed Media Collage on Canvas
Join us for a fun workshop to create your own mixed media collage picture using rocks, buttons, glass gems, beads and acrylic paints on canvas.
Let’s Make Comics!
We will cover the basics of creating comics by making a comic strip, a one-page comic and, if there’s time, a very small mini comic.. We will talk about different comics (with examples), do some fun writing and drawing exercises, and make our comic. We will have a black-and-white printer so everyone can share their work with each other at the end of class.
Wool Felting and Bead Work, too!
Exploring fibers and experimenting with wet wool felting while making decorative balls and adding beads. (Also, tassels and pom-poms, as time allows!)
The Setting Sun, A Masterpiece in Acrylics
Join us for a fun workshop painting a small acrylic landscape featuring a lone tee, backlit by setting sun.
