Pianist/Singer and Songwriter Matthew Ball, aka The Boogie Woogie Kid, is the attorney turned musician with now over 4 million views!  A national touring artist, Matthew performs New Orleans and Swing favorites from the 20s 30s and 40s. His performances are described as “Awesome!”  Crushing!” “Fantastic!” Victor Pruner will be joining him for drums, a local favorite and the man who makes the piano lounge possible!

Thursday nights, the J invites you to enjoy free live music in the piano lounge from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The Firehall Cafe at the J offers their full menu of food and beverages until 9:00 PM. Curated by local musician Victor Pruner, the Live Music in the Piano Lounge series is designed to bring a variety of local musicians to engage the community.
