Sarah Palmer is a violinist, violist, pianist, and teacher. Sarah fell in love with classical music by growing up in her mother’s music studio and taking piano and violin lessons. Sarah distinguished herself from an early age, earning a “Most Promising Musician” medal at seven years old in her native country, South Korea. It was not until Sarah moved to the U.S. at 9 years old that she developed her passion for violin and string instruments under apprenticeship of Byung Woo Kim of Juilliard. Studies continued at University of California, San Diego with János Négyesy and David Medine, under whom she served as concertmistress of the University of California-San Diego Chamber Orchestra and first violinist in the UCSD chamber ensembles and La Jolla Symphony. While attending university, Sarah taught private and group lessons and led a number of ensembles including a senior community choir, an elementary school orchestra and a worship team at her local church. Sarah believes in making music a fun and enjoyable experience for all ages and levels.
