Expired Lids, Spouts & Handles

This course is guided for students who have been in two or more beginner level wheel throwing class. Students will work on creating projects that will incorporate various forms with handles, lids & spouts. Mugs, pitchers, jars and tea pots will all be introduced to students during this course. Each week students will start with a demonstration by the instructor on a specific area of for that class week as well as review the techniques from the previous week to ask the instructor for guidance. Students will learn the design principles for incorporating spouts, lids & handles; basic principles as attaching, trimming and pulling handles to overall composition and aesthetic.

Trimming tools, Scoring tool, Calipers and ribs.
