Karen Scholten Local music teacher, Karen Scholten, returns to the Piano Lounge at the Jansen Art Center. Scholten is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Washington State Music Association. She studied music history, music education, voice and concert choir at Seattle Pacific University. She teaches composition and piano to students of all ages in her studio in Everson. Every Wednesday, the J invites you to join us for live music with your lunch. Each week, we welcome a different performer to the Piano Lounge to entertain you during the lunch hour. Enjoy delicious soups, salads and sandwiches from the Firehall Cafe while listening to live music in downtown Lynden. There is no cover. Tips for the performers are always appreciated.
