Johanna Meenk’s early classical piano study in Lynden with Alva Humphreys was followed with various studies in music theories, piano pedagogy, and voice in British Columbia’s Fraser Valley.  She has upon occasion accompanied choirs, as well as directed church choir in Tacoma.  Johanna particularly enjoys sight-reading and piano accompaniment (soloist and/or chamber music).

After working for about 10 years in the Bellevue area of Washington, Johanna is happy to be settled back in the northwest corner of Whatcom County.  She with her husband enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends.

Every Wednesday, the J invites you to join us for live music with your lunch. Each week, we welcome a different performer to the Piano Lounge to entertain you during the lunch hour. Enjoy delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches from the Firehall Cafe while listening to live music in downtown Lynden. There is no cover. Tips for the performers are always appreciated.
