Directed by Steve Herrick, the first JJB formed fall of 2012 with about ten players using “Combo” charts for rhythm and 4 horns. The band did two performances that first year. One concert later, they developed into a full-sized Big Band. Since then they have performed about 150 tunes in their programs at the Jansen Art Center. They also do occasional gigs for the Lummi First Friday events, perform at the Rotary building in Lynden, the Lynden Music Festival and Big Band Christmas at the J.

It is open to adults and teens ages sixteen and older.
