Expired Introduction to Wheel Throwing

Introduction to Wheel Throwing is designed with the beginner in mind, as well as, the potter who is not quite ready to take an intermediate throwing class. Students will be shown how to throw cylinders and bowls. Skills acquired will include wedging, centering, pulling, forming, trimming and basic handle making. Additionally, students will learn simple glaze techniques and Cone 6 firing methods.

MATERIALS TO BRING
A small bucket for water, hand towel, basic pottery tools, apron and clothes that can get dirty. The Kemper Pottery Tool Set is the recommended starter kit and can be purchased online through most pottery suppliers or Amazon. We have basic tools to borrow as well, so no worries!
