Learn the art of making pottery and creating decorative and functional vessels in a spacious studio. This class is for the beginner and for those who have taken beginning pottery classes in the past.
The course will cover basic and intermediate level workings in clay – mainly focused on wheel-thrown vessels (centering, pulling walls, shaping, and trimming). Topics on cups, mugs, bowls, plates, cylinders, and related shapes will be covered. Each student will create a series of vessels on the wheel. Glaze and firing techniques will also be covered.
Advanced students are welcome. This course includes access to free open studio for the duration of the class for extra practice.
