Saturday, February 29
11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Instructor: Leah Meleski
Students will learn how to create a pedestal prong setting as well as several applications for this setting. A pedestal prong setting is built onto a pedestal or platform that is the same width as the stone and has prongs to keep the stone in place. Prong settings maximize how much of the stone you can see and are incredibly versatile with most jewelry designs. This style of setting can be applied to cabochons and odd shaped objects with a flat or semi-flat backing.
Students are welcome to bring in several cabochon gemstones or objects that they would like to set. Instructor will also have gemstones available for purchase. Students will leave class with one finished setting.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 12:00 PM on Friday, February 28.
AGES: Adults (21+).
$5.00 – 15.00 paid to the instructor on the day of class.
