Upcoming Integrative Alexander Technique

1 Day Workshop with Lisa Toner
Tuesday, August 8, 2023
5:00–6:30pm
The Alexander Technique (AT) is a uniquely effective, holistic approach to optimizing human movement and creating new habits. In this class, you will learn a simple, yet effective, technique for taking the pressure off of your system. Using this technique, you’ll be able to do any activity with greater ease, efficiency, and clarity. You’ll learn some functional anatomy to help you move with more precision. The AT is an educational method, not a medical treatment, but can be a powerful tool for those with injuries or chronic pain. It is helpful for performing artists, those who work at a desk, want to communicate more clearly, move with less pain, improve their sport, and more!
The class begins with a brief introduction that is relevant to newcomers and experienced students alike. Each workshop has a unique introduction style and theme. The rest of the class will unfold in a series of short individual turns that build on the questions and curiosities of the students. Class size is limited to allow for plenty of individual instruction time; you will also learn a lot by watching someone else respond to the information. For new and returning students. Limited to 8 participants.
