5 Week Class with Angela Wright

Join instructor Angela Wright for a five-week session of gouache landscape sketches illustrated in personal journals. Each week we will paint a guided example provided. In the last week, students will provide their own landscape photos to paint.

MATERIALS TO BRING
- Journal: Moleskin Art Watercolor Album, Large (5” x 8.25”) preferably the one that is landscape orientated and opens wider than it is tall
- Paint: Student grade “designer’s gouache” or “gouache” in primary colors as well as black and white (5 tubes) Some suggested brands/lines are Cotman by Windsor Newton or Art Creation by Royal Talens. You may save money buying a set versus individual tubes. Any Primary Red, Blue, and Yellow will do. Other colors may be labeled Cobalt Blue, Cadmium Yellow, and Vermillion.
- Brushes: Princeton Velvetouch 6 Round and a 1” Flat Wash Brush
- Pallet- a white surface with several wells or flat. Give yourself some room for mixing. Can be plastic or enamel for example
- 2 Cups- one for rinsing your brush and one for adding fresh water to your paint
- A student’s pocket color wheel to aid us in understanding mixing
